About Walla Walla Times

Heart of WA Natonal & Local News

Local news for Walla Walla, Washington. A Times Media Service publication.

Where Walla Walla roots run deep.

We know the Blue Mountains on the horizon and the dry summer heat over wheat fields and vineyards. We love sweet onions, wine country and a downtown made for lingering. We believe Walla Walla’s news should carry the same care people put into what they grow and make. We bring you reporting rooted in this valley. We are Walla Walla Times.

How we started

Walla Walla sits where wheat country meets vineyards, with the Blue Mountains rising beyond the valley. Sweet onions come from this soil, and wine has become part of how people know the area. We began Walla Walla Times to report from that particular mix of farming, making and city life, rather than treat Walla Walla as a stop along the way to somewhere else.

We pay attention to what changes downtown, what matters to people working the land and what brings neighbors together. Our view of the city includes its long agricultural heritage and the pleasures of living here now, from a drive past the fields to an evening among the tasting rooms. We are part of Times Media Service, a network of local news sites, and we make this one for Walla Walla.
